A Building with a Story

Slievemore Apartments has long been part of life in Dugort. Originally a hotel, it welcomed visitors travelling to Achill in search of fresh air, scenery, and escape.

Dugort itself holds a unique place in Achill’s history. In the 19th century, it became the centre of the Achill Mission, led by Rev. Edward Nangle, bringing schools, churches, and new activity to the area.

Over time, the building evolved with the needs of the island. Today, it has been carefully adapted into modern apartments while still retaining its connection to the past.

When you stay here, you are part of that continuing story.
